The best £150 I’ve ever spent.

The best £150 I’ve ever spent?

These headphones are certainly up there 👇

A pair of Sony headphones.

A pair of Sony headphones.

And hey, before you go anywhere, I’m not advertising a pair of headphones.

Well, I will be, inadvertently…

But that’s not the point.

(Although maybe I should be getting commission for this… )

I wear these pretty much every day. They’re pretty much attached to my head during the working day.

Now I’m not a big spender.

It takes me a while to justify pretty much any purchase and I hate the feeling of spending money that I later realise I didn’t need to spend.

But when you get value from something you don’t feel like that and I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth from these, and then some.

So, why is that?

All Headphones Play Music

All headphones allow you to hear sound, right? Listen to music, watch a video, noise in your ear canals.

So, I could have just got anything?

I certainly could have spent a lot less than £150. (I could have spent a lot more too).

But I knew I wanted to spend a bit of money on them.

Thing is these headphones don’t just play music.

With these headphones…

👉 I can hear all the instruments playing in my favourite songs.

👉 I can work without being disturbed.

👉 I can connect to any device (almost) instantaneously.

👉 My ears don’t get sweaty or uncomfortable when I wear them.

👉 I don’t have to hold my phone up to my ear to take calls.

👉 Don’t have to press a single button on my computer to pause what I’m listening to.

👉 And probably one of the best things is that I don’t have a wire dangling in front of me, getting caught in a zip, or sending my laptop flying when I get up in a hurry and forget I’m plugged in.

Those are the reasons I use them everyday.

Benefits > Features

Now, I could have said they’re great because they’re…

Sony Bluetooth wireless noise cancelling headphones, optimised for Alexa and Google Assistant with gesture controls, 30 hours battery life, extra bass and cushioned ear pads.

I could have even sold them on the fact that they have all those features AND they’re cheaper than a number of competitors.

But all of that doesn’t have quite the same effect.

It doesn’t explain what the value is, to me.

That’s why, if you’re asking for someone’s money, it’s better to talk about the benefits than the features.

That’s what I do for my clients.

Everyone’s got features. It’s easy to talk about features.

But not everyone has the same benefits.
